Tesla Layoffs Continue With 600 More Job Cuts

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Tesla has announced to the California Employment Development Department that they are cutting about six hundred employees from their workforce. The areas where these layoffs will occur are predominantly in their manufacturing facilities and engineering offices in Fremont and Palo Alto.

This round of layoffs has tackled roles including executives, directors, and entry-level positions and has also affected various departments, including robotic engineers, factory workers, and software developers.

These layoffs were reported in the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act filing and come amid difficulties for the company, such as a decrease in demand for Tesla vehicles and increased competition in the U.S. EV industry.

Elon Musk has been discussing labor cuts for months as they face difficulties. He stated that they’d be cutting ten percent of their global workforce. They also said that they’d cut six thousand jobs through California, Texas, and New York.

The company as a whole has built up “inefficiency,” which has been happening over the last few years and is what prompted the layoffs in the first place.

Among the top people laid off from their positions were two environmental health and safety directors as well as a user experience design director. Tesla has also laid off people within their battery department and also those who have been working on developing apps for Tesla users.

Tesla has actually begun to rehire some members of their Supercharger team, whom they had laid off in the past. Many have compared this to Musk’s decision to lay off those from Twitter only to rehire people after he purchased it and changed the name to X.
