(AmericanProsperity.com) – With the next presidential election approaching, there is a lot of pressure mounting for both campaigns, and the race is still tight for presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Kamala is expected to give a speech this week on abortion rights in Georgia, a state which has reported the deaths of multiple women due to their six week ban.
While both candidates are preparing for rallies and speeches, lawmakers are trying to ensure that the U.S. Secret Service has the resources and money to keep the presidential candidates safe after repeated threats and a second assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Trump has faced two assassination attempts, with the first happening at a Pennsylvania rally in Butler where he was grazed by a bullet. The second attempt happened at Trump’s personal golf course where the Secret Service spotted a muzzle in the bushes and took down the suspect before he was able to fire.
There’s also been fear around election workers who have received threats for working at the polling places. They have received verbal and written threats regarding the upcoming election. Many polling sites have amped up their security to ensure that polling workers are safe as election violence and threats have been at an all time high with six weeks to go.
Early voting starts in three states at the end of this week and many voters are split on their decision. Many are looking at deciding factors like abortion rights, economic policies, border control, and foreign affairs to help them decide.
