(AmericanProsperity.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris is on top of her campaigning game as she heads into the Democratic National Convention next week. Donald Trump and his campaign are stepping up their game as they strive to keep up with her competition.
Trump’s campaign said that it is planning a new counter program during the Democrat’s National Convention. A spokesperson who asked to remain anonymous talked about the plans to gather top representatives and people into their field.
“We’re certainly going to have key people in the battlegrounds and available to the media to counterprogram,” they said.
One of the people that is said to be key is Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley. This is not a common situation as most years prior to this, the presidential candidate would stay low as the competitor party held their convention.
However, Joe Biden campaigned in Nevada during the Republican Convention held last month.
Donald Trump has been facing new competition since Joe Biden stepped out of the presidential race following an unsuccessful debate with Trump. Trump stated that he would pick up the pace in his campaigning following their convention.
Donald Trump has been pushing many to see Harris’ personal side and outing her for behavior that many might think is not fit for president. However, Harris is focusing on branding herself and pushing her stances on topics like inflation, the border crisis, and crime.
Many are pushing Trump to refocus his attention and focus solely on politics when it comes to outing his competitor. Kevin McCarthy, the former House Speaker, said, “You’ve got to make this race not on personalities.” He continued, “Stop questioning the size of her crowds and start questioning her position.”
