(AmericanProsperity.com) – The Biden family has been left shocked and scrambling for answers after President Donald Trump announced he was ending taxpayer-funded Secret Service protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden.

The president announced the decision after learning that Hunter Biden was enjoying protection from 18 agents while vacationing in South Africa.
President Trump revealed the termination on Truth Social after being questioned by reporters about Hunter Biden’s extensive security detail.
Upon learning about the situation, the president acted swiftly to cut off the expensive protection that had been in place well beyond the standard timeframe for children of former presidents.
“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer,” President Trump stated in his announcement of the decision.
The revocation affects both Hunter Biden, who had 18 agents assigned to him, and Ashley Biden, who was protected by 13 agents.
“Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” President Trump announced.
The number of personnel assigned to the Biden children raised eyebrows among fiscal conservatives who have long criticized wasteful government spending.
According to longstanding protocol, Secret Service protection for children of former presidents typically ends when they leave office unless those children are under 16 years old.
Both President Trump and Biden had previously extended protection for their adult children for six months after leaving office.
When initially asked about Hunter Biden’s security detail, the president responded, “Well, we have done that with many. I would say if there are 18 with Hunter Biden, that will be something I’ll look at this afternoon.”
In his announcement, President Trump noted that Hunter Biden was vacationing in South Africa, a country he has described as having questionable human rights practices.
The president also mentioned that South Africa had been removed from the list of countries receiving U.S. economic and financial assistance.
The decision represents another promise kept by President Trump to reduce wasteful government spending and redirect resources to more pressing national priorities.
Critics had long argued that the extended protection for the Biden children represented special treatment not afforded to average Americans.
This is particularly striking given Hunter Biden’s controversial personal and legal ordeals.
As of now, neither Hunter nor Ashley Biden had commented publicly on the revocation of their Secret Service protection.
The White House has indicated this is just one of many decisions aimed at streamlining government operations and eliminating what the administration considers unnecessary expenditures of taxpayer dollars.
