Trump Hits United Nations – AGAIN!

Donald Trump

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Just like he did during his first term, President Donald Trump is set to deliver a decisive blow to the United Nations for turning into a clearly biased organization.

The upcoming executive order will not only withdraw the U.S. from the Human Rights Council (UNHRC) but also stop funding to a controversial Palestinian aid agency.

The president’s move is set to send a clear message that America will no longer tolerate anti-American and anti-Israel sentiment in global organizations.

Specifically, President Trump’s executive order will remove the United States from the UNHRC and cease all future funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

This bold move aligns with the president’s “America First” policy and addresses longstanding concerns about these organizations’ effectiveness.

The White House has been firm in its criticism of the UNHRC, stating that the body “has demonstrated consistent bias against Israel, focusing on it unfairly and disproportionately in council proceedings.”

This bias was particularly evident in 2018 when “the organization passed more resolutions condemning Israel than Syria, Iran, and North Korea combined.”

President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the UNHRC is not new. During his first term, he took similar action due to the council’s bias against Israel.

This latest move reaffirms his commitment to protecting America’s interests and those of its closest allies from the overreach of international bodies.

The executive order also targets UNRWA, an agency long criticized for its ties to Hamas and for extending the Palestinian refugee crisis.

Congress had already stopped all U.S. funding to UNRWA until March 2025, and Trump’s order will make this suspension permanent.

This decision comes in the wake of Israel passing a bill banning contact with UNRWA, further highlighting the agency’s controversial nature.

This announcement is significant because it coincides with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House.

This meeting is President Trump’s first with a foreign leader since his recent inauguration.

It underscores the administration’s commitment to strengthening ties with America’s staunchest ally in the Middle East.

The executive order will also scrutinize other entities that may promote “radical or anti-American sentiment” as part of a broader review of America’s involvement in international organizations.

This includes a focus on UNESCO, from which the U.S. withdrew in 2019 due to its anti-Israel bias.

President Trump’s pick for United Nations ambassador, Elise Stefanik, also addressed the situation by committing to reforming the U.N. system

She has vowed to ensure that any American funding goes “to programs through the U.N. that work, that have a basis in the rule of law, that have a basis in transparency and accountability, and strengthen our national security and our partnerships.”

She has been particularly critical of UNRWA for ignoring local workers’ ties to Hamas, showcasing the administration’s unified stance on these issues.

President Trump’s executive order sends a clear message: America will no longer subsidize organizations that work against the nation’s interests or those of its allies.

By withdrawing from the UNHRC and defunding UNRWA, the administration is taking concrete steps to protect American sovereignty, support Israel, and ensure that biased international bodies do not misuse taxpayer dollars.
