Donald Trump has been in the business selling Bibles, photo books, sneakers, and cryptocurrency. The former president revealed his “Official Trump Watch Collection” recently with the most expensive watch having over one hundred and twenty diamonds in its bezel. It’s also available in eighteen karat gold styles and costs one hundred thousand dollars.
Trump has been working on multiple branded products since he started running for this year’s election. Although the website says that the sales of various products don’t go directly to Donald Trump, they also said that each is subject to a “paid license agreement.” This has been the same sort of tactic that allowed Trump to profit off of sales for everything from steaks to water, and even vodka prior to when he entered politics.
He has been behind many products, including the sale of one hundred dollar silver coins, a “God Bless the USA Bible,” and even Trump-branded sneakers at “SneakerCon.”
Donald Trump has not only been a part of physical products, but also NFTs where he reported earning between one hundred thousand and one million dollars from a series of digital trading cards that portrayed him in cartoon-like images.
The items that he’s represented and sold have gone up for sale as the former president has faced his civil fraud case in a New York appellate court.
A disclaimer on the watch website has said that the sales will not go to Trump’s campaign or the Trump Organization, and they are not “designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, or any of their respective affiliates or principals.”
