Trump Looking For VP, Source Says

(AmericanProsperity.com) – While former President Donald Trump hasn’t officially announced that he will run for president in 2024, there’s plenty of speculation surrounding the possibility. The potential 2024 bid begs the question of who Trump’s vice president (VP) would be. Will Mike Pence receive the honor again, or will Trump go a different route in 2024?

The former president allegedly asserted that people are lining up and begging him to be his VP. After the 2020 election’s integrity stirred up controversy, President Trump and VP Pence had a bit of a disagreement, and the two went their separate ways. So it’s unlikely that Trump will pick Pence to be his running mate in 2024.

There are plenty of other potential running mates for Trump, including South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R), former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R), former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Ric Grenell, the former Director of National Intelligence.

John McLaughlin, a pollster, noted that typically a presidential candidate picks a VP to even out the party. McLaughlin asserted that with Trump, things are different because he is essentially the Republican Party, as many members of the GOP unite behind him. McLaughlin believes that if Trump decides to run, his VP pick will be whoever he wants and that the decision will be more personal this time — unlike in 2016 when he chose Pence.
