(AmericanProsperity.com) – According to a new poll published on October 15, former president Donald Trump is currently beating President Joe Biden in two of the swing states that analysts believe could determine the outcome of the 2024 presidential election. The Republican leader and presidential candidate is leading in Georgia and Arizona, which were two of the states that helped him win the 2016 presidential election against then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. However, these two states sided with the former Vice President in 2020.
Polling data from The Telegraph, in partnership with Redfield &Wilton Strategies, revealed that Trump is currently beating President Biden in Arizona 44 to 39 percent, which represents a five-point lead. The survey results also showed that the Republican candidate is also beating the Democratic leader in Georgia 43 to 40 percent, representing a three-point lead.
The pollsters also revealed that President Biden is just one point ahead of the former commander-in-chief in Pennsylvania, 43 to 42 percent. While this state has voted for the Democratic nominee in the last six presidential elections before the one in 2016, Trump won in Pennsylvania that year. Nevertheless, the state voted Democrat again in 2020, as then-Democratic nominee Biden won by 1.2 percent.
The survey results showed that the two presidential candidates are tied in the state of Michigan with 41 percent each. This was another state where Trump achieved a surprising achievement by receiving the majority of votes in 2016, as Michigan has been considered a blue state over the last few years.
The Republican candidate is also leading the Democratic leader by 5 points in North Carolina and Florida, which are some of the few states Trump won in 2016 and in the 2020 presidential election. The survey results show that President Biden has a high unpopularity rating in the six swing states that varies between 4 and 9 percent. The polling data was taken between October 7 and October 9.
