Trump Rallies Supporters as Indictments Loom

( – Former president and presidential candidate Donald Trump told supporters during a November 8 rally in Hialeah, Florida that he wears the indictments against him like a “Badge of honor.” The former commander-in-chief, who has been indicted by US authorities four times since April, also told the crowd he’s being indicted for them.

Trump told his supporters he never forgets who the real enemies of the country are, and noted that they want to take away his freedom because he will never let them do the same with the American people. He also claimed that the Biden administration is trying to silence him because its real target is conservatives.

The former commander-in-chief is facing two indictments from the Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith. One of the indictments alleges he illegally took top-secret documents from the White House to his Florida mansion Mar-a-Lago at the end of his presidency. The other indictment stems from his 2020 presidential election and the riots that took place at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. While authorities claim that Trump called his supporters to commit those illegal acts, the former president has repeatedly denied those accusations.

In addition to these two indictments, the Republican leader is also facing two cases at the state level. The first one was pursued by the office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who alleges 34 criminal counts of business fraud. The other case came from the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who alleged racketeering in connection to the 2020 presidential election.

Trump has been charged by US authorities with 91 counts between these four cases. If convicted on all counts, the former president faces a maximum sentence of 717 years in prison.

During the rally, the Republican candidate told the crowd that these legal issues come from “the White House,” which main goal is to discourage Americans from voting for him. However, he claimed that the Biden administration will fail, as MAGA Republicans have a “big voice” and are the “greatest movement” in the United States’ political history.
