(AmericanProsperity.com) – With November closing in, lawmakers are quickly running out of time to pass a stimulus bill before Election Day. But, in a last-ditch effort to get a COVID relief bill finalized this week, President Donald Trump said he would support a bill “even bigger than the Democrats.”
On Tuesday, October 20, during an interview with Fox & Friends, Trump relayed his reasoning for supporting a bill larger than the $2.2-trillion dollar proposal by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). He wants to provide relief to Americans “that did not deserve what happened to them coming out of China.”
However, pushback from Senate Republicans is firm, making a larger bill unlikely. Reporter Steven Dennis follows who is — and isn’t — in support of Trump’s latest plan:
Romney is a no on a $1.8T stimulus.
Trump would need to find 13 GOP votes somewhere else.

As both parties struggle to agree on how to provide relief for struggling Americans, the White House tries to cut through the haze of politics to deliver aid to those that need it most. But, with the election speeding closer and much at stake, this move may still be too late.
