(AmericanProsperity.com) – President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team faces a potential setback as top adviser Boris Epshteyn is facing allegations of pay-to-play schemes.
As the deep state and the mainstream media exploit these claims, Trump’s team is acting quickly to address the situation.
The transition team has launched an investigation into Epshteyn following allegations that he may have tried to make money by using his proximity to the President-elect.
In response to these concerns, lawyer David Warrington has recommended limiting Epshteyn’s access to Trump.
The allegations against Epshteyn include claims that he demanded payments from individuals like Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent.
Additionally, former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens reported feeling pressured by Epshteyn for business dealings in exchange for support.
If true, these accusations would go against Trump’s vision of draining the swamp.
Eric Trump came to Epshteyn’s defense, saying, “Listen, I have known Boris for years, and I have never known him to be anything but a good human being.”
“So, that said, I will tell you, my father’s been incredibly clear. You do not, you do not do that under any circumstance. And, believe me, there will be repercussions if somebody was,” Eric Trump added.
It is important to note that Epshteyn has not been accused of any illegal activity. The investigation’s main goal is to reduce his influence within Trump’s circle.
The probe also seeks to ensure that all advisers are aligned with the President-elect’s America First agenda.
This approach showcases Trump’s commitment to surrounding himself with individuals who put the nation’s interests over personal gain.
In response to the controversy, Trump communications director Steven Cheung has stated that a thorough review has been carried out.
“As is standard practice, a broad review of the campaign’s consulting agreements has been conducted and completed, including as to Boris, among others. We are now moving ahead together as a team to help President Trump Make America Great Again,” Cheung declared.
As the transition continues, Trump has emphasized that no one should profit from their association with him.
