(AmericanProsperity.com) – The establishment has been rocked to its core after President Donald Trump called for the firing of every general involved in one of America’s greatest blunders in history.
Specifically, the president referred to those who had a say in the catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal that left military equipment abandoned and Americans either dead or stranded.

During a Cabinet meeting with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, President Trump demanded accountability for the humiliating retreat that killed 13 American service members and handed billions in military assets to the Taliban.
In the meeting at the White House, the president did not mince words about what should happen to military leaders who oversaw the disastrous 2021 pullout.
“I’m not going to tell this man what to do but I will say that if I had his place, I’d fire every single one of them, Pete,” Trump stated firmly, addressing his defense secretary while discussing the generals responsible.
President Trump expressed confidence that the responsible military leadership would be “largely gone” from their positions after Hegseth’s review of the withdrawal.
The president made it clear he expects no promotions for generals involved in what many Americans view as one of the most embarrassing foreign policy failures in recent U.S. history.
Hegseth, a veteran himself, assured the president that the Department of Defense was conducting a thorough review of the withdrawal operation.
“We’re taking a very different view, obviously, than the previous administration,” Hegseth stated.
The consequences of the botched withdrawal continue to haunt America. U.S. citizens and Afghan partners were abandoned behind enemy lines, and billions of dollars worth of military equipment fell into Taliban hands.
The chaotic scenes at Kabul airport ended in a suicide bombing that killed 13 American service members and many Afghan civilians.
“I think they should give our equipment back. And I told Pete to study that,” President Trump said, highlighting how Taliban forces are now profiting by selling American military hardware abandoned during the hasty retreat.
The Trump administration’s commitment to restructuring military leadership is further evidenced by his nomination of retired Air Force Lt. Gen. John Dan “Razin” Caine as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
This selection signals President Trump’s determination to install leaders who will prioritize military readiness and strategic competence over woke policies.
Military experts have long criticized how the Afghanistan withdrawal was executed, pointing to the decision to abandon Bagram Air Base before evacuating civilians and the failure to secure proper exit routes.
The Taliban’s swift takeover of Afghanistan erased 20 years of American investment in the country virtually overnight.
For many Americans, President Trump’s call for accountability represents a long-overdue reckoning.
While the Biden administration largely avoided responsibility for the catastrophe, Trump’s administration is determined to clean house and restore honor to American military leadership.
The Pentagon’s new review will likely examine key decisions made by generals who advised Biden during the withdrawal, including why so much military equipment was left behind and why the evacuation plan failed so spectacularly.
Many military families who lost loved ones in the final days of the war have also demanded answers that have yet to come.
