TX Professor Faces Criticism for Tweet About Homosexuality

Professor Under Fire After EXTREMELY Controversial Remarks

(AmericanProsperity.com) – A professor at the University of Texas in Dallas (UTD) has become the subject of harsh criticism after he tweeted about needing to find a “cure for homosexuality.” The professor also suggested the idea that doctors be able to test babies in the womb to see if they’re gay. Now the UTD is investigating the academic after the school’s Rainbow Coalition demanded “immediate action.”

The Rainbow Coalition mentioned in their tweet that Professor Timothy Farage has a history of being hostile toward the LGBTQ+ community. The group added the instructor has promoted his personal social media and discussed political topics that some members see as controversial or going against the university’s guidelines on professor conduct. School officials issued a statement noting they’ve received a number of complaints regarding the computer science teacher’s comments and were investigating the situation.

The university allowed students to seek other educators to teach them if they were uncomfortable with Professor Farage.

The controversy of Farage’s tweet, which he has since deleted, comes as the instructor seemingly connected homosexuality to the spread of monkeypox and included a link to an article about a recent outbreak of the illness. The professor told WFAA he didn’t have anything against homosexuality and clarified he doesn’t feel it’s a sin. Farage added that he was simply “suggesting” people try to discover a cure and admitted to reading about how men having sex with other men was the main way monkeypox had spread.
