(AmericanProsperity.com) – On Wednesday, the IRS launched a new website to help taxpayers check the status of their stimulus payments. In addition, those who didn’t pay federal taxes in 2018 or 2019 can also provide their bank information to the IRS to receive their direct deposit. If you’re on Social Security or receive other federal benefits and don’t file taxes, you don’t have to do a thing.
Recipients of Social Security Disability Insurance will automatically receive Economic Impact Payments without the need to file taxes for 2018 or 2019. More details from #IRS at https://t.co/hEEWmgHA9V #COVIDreliefIRS pic.twitter.com/Si4PfGFVqE

To check the status of your payment or provide the IRS your information, visit the website. Then, click the blue button that says, “Get My Payment.” It’ll take you to another page where you will need to click the “Get My Payment” button again. Once the page loads, you’ll be able to check its status.
If you want to provide the IRS with your bank information from direct deposit, click the blue button on the bottom right that says, “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here.” If you’re expecting a check, it could be weeks or months before it actually shows up in the mail. More than 80 million Americans have received their payment as of April 15, so if you meet the qualifications, you should receive your stimulus check shortly if you haven’t already.
