White House DENIES Rumors – Claims It’s FAKE NEWS
(AmericanProsperity.com) – With a recent string of shootings taking place in the past few weeks, it’s no surprise left-wing lawmakers are pushing for gun control legislation. Democrats have already passed a bill through the House to impose stricter rules on gun ownership, and they’ve garnished enough support for the bill in the Senate. While the White House is trying to get a grip on gun violence, a rumor has spread that officials plan to implement a limited ammunition ban. The White House is countering these claims.

The Biden administration is reportedly battling back against allegations the president was considering a possible ban, specifically limiting rounds manufactured at the Winchester facility in Lake City, Missouri. The claim came from National Shooting Sports Foundation’s (NSSF) director of public affairs, Mark Oliva, who warned that such a ban would put America’s combat readiness at risk.
After meeting the military’s needs for ammunition, Winchester sells the surplus ammo to the American public. Oliva implied that the government wanted to ban such transactions, which would significantly reduce the amount of ammunition available on the market. A drastic increase in the price of ammo would likely follow as demand would outweigh supply and create another shortage.
White House officials have insisted the administration isn’t considering such action, claiming it would undermine the people and put the fate of an already testy framework deal in jeopardy. In other words, the White House doesn’t want to mess up the chance to pass its gun control legislation.
