Witness Testimony Reveals Rittenhouse's Words After Shooting

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Last summer in 2020, a 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse traveled to Kenosha, WI, amid riots after a police officer shot Jacob Blake, a black man. Rittenhouse eventually shot three people with an AR-15 style firearm, killing two and injuring the third. While Rittenhouse claims self-defense, prosecutors believe he’s a murderer.

Now Rittenhouse is 18 and facing first-degree homicide, the highest charge in Wisconsin if convicted. According to one witness, Rittenhouse was just a scared kid, noting that the teen called him freaking out after the gunshots.

Dominick Black, who provided Rittenhouse with the firearm, recalled he heard shots but didn’t know that it was Rittenhouse until he received a call from him. Rittenhouse was freaking out, according to Black, saying he shot someone. The teenager’s defense asserted that Black and Rittenhouse went to Kenosha to defend a car dealership rioters had attacked the night before and that the three people Rittenhouse shot had tried to harm him.

Prosecutors claim the story is different and that Rittenhouse went looking for trouble. The prosecuting attorney believes Rittenhouse harassed the first person he later shot, 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum, beginning the confrontation. Rosenbaum allegedly retaliated by chasing the teenager and going for his gun.

Rittenhouse’s defense attorney says the defendant ran because the crowd wanted to kill him. He claims the second person shot hit his client with a skateboard, prompting the fatal shooting. The third person, 27-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz, approached Rittenhouse with a handgun, resulting in the teen shooting and injuring him.

If the jury finds Rittenhouse guilty, he’ll face life in prison. Both sides have their story, but the only one that matters is the truth.
