Zelensky’s Micro-Managing Might Just Cost Them The War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his forces have done a good job of holding their ground, earning praise from the international community. However, there appears to have been a lapse in communication between the European leader and his military officials, leading the president to request his officers refrain from making any decisions without him.

In what is a rare occurrence, there’s been a public disagreement among Ukrainian officials. Authorities restricted the movement of military personnel without first speaking with President Zelenskyy, leading the Ukrainian president to address the issue in a public statement.
According to Newsweek, the Ukrainian General Staff of the Armed Forces said anyone with military affiliation had to get permission from social support and territorial recruitment centers before leaving their current territories. President Zelenskyy asserted the military leaders shouldn’t have made the decision without his input and that the situation has caused many arguments.
President Zelenskyy asserted he would demand military leaders to provide him with more information about their decision when they met on July 6. The Ukrainian leader promised his people he would “figure it out” before reminding the general staff to include him in their decisions going forward.
