Memorial Day turned tragic for American families when a boat exploded near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, sending nine adults and two children to the hospital with severe burns.

“Preliminary information indicates that a 39-foot Sea Ray with 15 people on board was traveling within the Intercoastal Waterway when an explosion occurred,” a spokesperson for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) stated.
