(AmericanProsperity.com) – In liberal cities across the country, there’s been a concerning trend: failure to prosecute crimes. Many leaders are even trying to implement cashless bail, which puts criminals back on the streets, even when they’ve committed heinous offenses. One conservative is looking to put an end to this practice.
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares recently appeared on Breitbart News and discussed the practices of “left-wing special interest groups.” Rather than running for governor or state legislature, for example, they’re focusing on winning the district attorney and local prosecutor races. This strategy puts them in a position where they can enact their own policies, even if unofficially.

Miyares says that until now, conservatives have been sleeping on what he calls the “most important election[s]” that go unnoticed. Then liberals win without the large coffers state legislature campaigns traditionally require. In a statement to the Washington Examiner, Miyares explained that these wins have often led to increases in crime — especially in liberal-led cities like Seattle and New York City.
To that end, the group he heads, the Protecting Americans Action Fund, is looking to raise money and back conservative candidates to oust liberals who hold these roles. In 2022, the organization raised $4 million and helped to flip five DA offices that were once held by progressive officials.
Miyares said he founded the organization because George Soros was backing radical left-wing candidates, and there was no counter effort. Soros’ move involved investing $40 million to back 75 liberal prosecutors. The Virginia AG knows conservatives have a long way to go, but they’ve already initiated numerous challenges.
In New York, Lee Zeldin (R), a former House representative, ran against incumbent Kathy Hochul (D) in the gubernatorial race. In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis (R) removed state prosecutor Andrew Warren after Warren emphatically said he wouldn’t prosecute abortion-related offenses.
