Obama’s SHOCKING Statement About Trump

The left is once again enlisting former President Barack Obama to do their dirty work as he now has come forward with stunning allegations against President Donald Trump.

Obama has accused Trump of autocratic behavior while ignoring the massive overreach and constitutional violations that occurred during his own presidency.

In a recent speech, the former president who weaponized the IRS against conservatives and spied on journalists now lectures Americans about “democracy” being at risk.

Obama took the stage in Hartford, Connecticut, to warn that America is supposedly slipping toward autocracy under President Trump.

Speaking to a friendly crowd while anti-Trump protesters gathered outside, Obama criticized the current administration’s commitment to what he calls “liberal democracy.”

Obama claimed:

“If you follow regularly what is said by those who are in charge of the federal government right now, there is a weak commitment to what we understood – and not just my generation, at least since World War II – our understanding of how a liberal democracy is supposed to work.”

“There has to be a response and pushback from civil society, from various institutions and individuals outside of government, but there also have to be people in government in both parties who say, ‘No, you can’t do that.’ What we’re seeing right now… is not consistent with American democracy. It is consistent with autocracies.”

This statement comes from the same president whose administration was plagued by scandals including the Fast and Furious gun-running operation, the Benghazi cover-up, and the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS.

Obama also compared current American politics to Hungary under Viktor Orbán.

The irony was not lost on many that Obama, who famously declared “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone” to justify executive overreach, now presents himself as a defender of institutional guardrails.

During his administration, Obama issued numerous controversial executive orders on immigration, healthcare, and gun control that many scholars viewed as exceeding presidential authority.

Perhaps most telling was Obama’s criticism of President Trump’s immigration policies, despite his own administration’s record of mass deportations.

While Obama now advocates for what he calls “humane reform,” his presidency saw over 3 million deportations, earning him the nickname “Deporter-in-Chief” from immigration activists.

Despite maintaining a relatively low profile since leaving office, Obama appears to be emerging as a vocal critic.

His warnings about “autocracy” seem designed to energize the Democrat base rather than foster the unity he claims to value.
