4-Year-Anniversary Of COVID-19 Pandemic

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Monday marks the 4th year anniversary of the World Health Organization declaring COVID-19 a pandemic.

COVID-19 has made a huge impact on millions of people across the world since the beginning of the pandemic. On top of this, many people have also been dealing with long COVID symptoms, which can last for years after getting over the virus.

The numbers regarding the pandemic have shocked people. As of the first week of March, there have been 15,000 weekly hospitalizations. With this said, this is much lower than the highest it’s been, which was a weekly rate of 150,000 hospitalizations.

The CDC has said that these hospitalizations are much lower now with the accessibility of vaccines and other drugs that can help the symptoms and decrease severity.

The death toll has been a factor that many have focused on since the pandemic began. As of now, the number of deaths from the pandemic is 1.18 million. The United States is in a much better spot now than they were at the beginning of the pandemic as many have built up immunity and taken advantage of the vaccines and boosters available.

Vaccines changed the way that the pandemic affected people who were exposed to COVID-19, and it helped to slow down the number of deaths and hospitalizations. Over 20% of adults have received the vaccine while only 13% of children received it.

MIS-C is a multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children that was brought on by COVID in children. The MIS-C has affected almost ten thousand children, but the results have dropped since the peak, which was in the hundreds.
