McDonald’s Faces Large Company-Wide Tech Error?!

(AmericanProsperity.com) – McDonald’s encountered a system failure that affected restaurants globally and left some people unable to order their food.

The outage started in Australia where it was first reported, and then other countries followed suit to report an outage, including Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Downdetector, which tracks company website and app technical difficulties got a notification early in the morning that Australia stores were having technical problems.

These issues caused many stores to stop operation and cease sales for their business for hours while the problem was being resolved. A few hours later Australia McDonald’s posted saying that most of their stores had reopened. Japan McDonald’s followed soon after and posted on X saying that their services had been restored and stores were operational while adding, “We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers.”.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said, “We are aware of a technology outage, which impacted our restaurants; the issue is now being resolved. We thank customers for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Japan has over three thousand McDonald’s locations making it one of the biggest markets for them and the outage affected stores all over the country. The United States had interference in multiple states including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle.

After speculation of what may have caused these technical difficulties that affected thousands of their fast food chain restaurants across the globe, a spokesperson said that the issue “is not related to a cybersecurity event.”
