Trump Fighting A New ‘Witch Hunt’?!

Refusing to stay idle while others go through the same ordeal, President Donald Trump has denounced a vicious political “witch hunt” against a strong ally.

The president has boldly called for the immediate cancellation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial.

The president’s intervention comes amid growing political tensions in Israel, where Netanyahu faces multiple charges that could threaten his leadership.

President Trump’s defense of Netanyahu signals his continued commitment to supporting America’s strongest ally in the Middle East against politically motivated prosecutions.

The president made his position clear in a strongly worded statement on Truth Social, where he expressed his unwavering support for the Israeli leader.

“Such a WITCH HUNT, for a man who has given so much, is unthinkable to me,” President Trump declared, echoing language he has used to describe his own legal challenges.

“He deserves much better than this, and so does the State of Israel. Bibi Netanyahu’s trial should be CANCELLED, IMMEDIATELY, or a Pardon given to a Great Hero,” he added.

Netanyahu is currently battling charges of fraud, breach of trust, and accepting bribes in three separate cases.

The allegations include claims that he exchanged regulatory favors for positive media coverage and accepted lavish gifts from wealthy businessmen Arnon Milchan and James Packer.

The Israeli leader has firmly denied all accusations, characterizing them as a politically motivated “witch hunt.”

President Trump’s defense of Netanyahu comes at a critical moment for both leaders.

The president emphasized the strong bond forged during recent conflicts with Iran.

He stated, “Bibi and I just went through HELL together, fighting a very tough and brilliant longtime enemy of Israel, Iran, and Bibi could not have been better, sharper, or stronger in his LOVE for the incredible Holy Land.”

President Trump went even further, saying, “It was the United States of America that saved Israel, and now it is going to be the United States of America that saves Bibi Netanyahu.”

While Netanyahu’s supporters have welcomed the president’s intervention, leftist opposition figures in Israel have pushed back.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid criticized the move, stating, “With all due respect and gratitude to the president of the United States, he’s not supposed to intervene in a legal process of an independent state.”

Similarly, Gilad Kariv, a parliamentarian from Israel’s left-wing Democrats party, insisted that “The Jewish tradition teaches us that no person is above the law. Not even a prime minister.”

Netanyahu’s trial has faced multiple delays, partly due to ongoing conflicts, with a verdict not expected until 2026.

Some analysts have suggested these delays benefit the prime minister politically.

While Israeli President Isaac Herzog technically has the power to pardon Netanyahu, he has stated a pardon is “not currently on the table.”

President Trump’s defense of Netanyahu reflects his consistent stance against what many see as the weaponization of justice systems against right-wing leaders worldwide.
