Travel Advisory Issued for Black Americans

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Civil rights organization NAACP issued a travel advisory for Florida on Saturday morning. The organization claimed that the red state is now “hostile to Black Americans” under the leadership of Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.

In the travel advisory, the organization said that the Florida Governor has made it clear that African Americans are not welcome in his state. It even claims that DeSantis is leading a “quest” to silence black voices in Florida.

The NAACP added it decided to issue a travel advisory to every African American and people of color in the United States because of “blatant and systematic” attacks on civil rights and democracy in Florida. Finally, the organization claimed that the state is now hostile against African Americans.

The NAACP’s travel advisory points to some policies of DeSantis that left-wing and liberal activists have been criticizing recently. One of the most important is the legislation that the Florida Governor signed last Monday. The legislation prohibits colleges from spending the state’s public funds on the controversial DEI program. It has been disapproved by many academics as they claim it provides important information in such a biased manner that it could alienate students and exacerbate tensions.

The civil rights organization also pointed to DeSantis’ decision to sign the Stop WOKE Act. This prohibits the way some schools and workplaces in the state can discuss the race issue during required instruction or training. The NAACP also criticized the Florida Governor’s blocking of a course named Advanced Placement African American Studies, which was going to be instructed in public schools.

In a statement, NAACP CEO and President Derrick Johnson criticized DeSantis’ decision. He said it is a “dereliction of duty” and a disservice to all students in the state to forbid the teaching of the challenges that African Americans have endured in the United States.
